HI & Welcome

Freshman & Sophomore Year
My name is Lauren Marie Frost, I am 16 years old and currently a freshman in the CAP program at Montgomery Blair High School. I am the oldest of my three other siblings and have two other sisters and a brother. I also have a dog named Raven. I have attended four other schools before I attended Montgomery Blair High School. I went to Bel-Pre Elementary, Strathmore Elementary, Oak View Elementary, and Eastern Middle School in the Humanities Program.
In school my favorite subjects are History and English. I enjoy reading and writing and have read a lot of books. My favorite books are the Anybodies and The name of this Book is a Secret. I also love movies, one of my favorites is The Fault in Our Stars (Of course) and the newer version of The Karate Kid (with Jaden Smith).
One of the highlights of my academic career was winning the C-SPAN documentary contest and winning 750 dollars for third place nationally.

In my spare time I play Basketball and Tennis. In the fall I played Varsity Tennis for Montgomery Blair and my tennis team won first place in the state. This year as a freshmen I secured a spot on the Varsity team, which was really exciting for me and as a Sophomore I earned a starting position which was amazing. In the past I played AAU travel team fir the Classics for a while and now I play for the Maryland Mustangs. I have played fourth singles for the Blair Tennis team for the past two years, and it has been really fun and a great learning experience.
I am on the 2017 Class Council, a part of the principals advisory council, and a sometimes girl scout.
I am super excited to be in the CAP program and to see where it leads me in the future.

Junior Year Bio
Hi! I am Lauren Marie Frost and I am currently a junior in the Communications Arts Program at Montgomery Blair High school . I am the oldest of four (and a dog) and spend my days in Silver Spring, Maryland running around with my siblings.
In school I am part of many clubs and teams. I have played varsity tennis for three years at Blair, playing singles for two of the years and doubles for one. I have also played on the varsity basketball team for the last three years which has overall been a great experience. I love to watch and play sports and am the reigning football predictions champion.
Besides sports at Blair I am also involved in the Class council, Principal advisory council, and the Silver Chips Online staff (Check me out on Silver Chips!). I will get to be entertainment editor next year.
I have also started the Black CAP movement here at Blair which aims to connect students of color who are in CAP. This has been an amazing experience and it has been great to connect with people who have the same experience as me and to strive for a change in CAP.
When I am not playing basketball, tennis, or trying to keep up with my other extracurricular's I really love watching movies and reading trashy teen romance books. Some of my favorite movies right now are Dope and Princess and the Frog.
Whether its wandering around downtown silver spring or eating Mac&Cheese while watching movies I of course love hanging out with my friends and creating new and amazing memories.
I have no idea what I want to do in the future. Right now I want to be a teacher, a sport commentator/ journalist, and president of the United States, and well as work for a production company or news channel. So, as you can see, I have it all figured out.
So far the CAP has been a positive experience for me and I have really learned and developed a lot. I still can't wait to see where this program will take me and how it will influence me in the future.
